Blue Hour celebrates creativity, community, and connection with nature.

Based in Los Angeles, we offer herbal teas & natural treats through our traveling ApoTEAcary, plant-dye workshops, and creative experiences to inspire balance, joy, and self-expression.

Rooted in herbalism, self-care, and artistry, our offerings invite mindfulness, play, and connection while honoring the beauty of transitions, like the shifting hues of the blue hour.

Hi,

I’m Maria Fernanda! I’m originally from Mexico, but I’ve been a lifelong LA native, having grown up in North Hollywood. My journey into herbalism was purely accidental. After studying Political Science and Technology Management at UC Santa Barbara and working briefly in Washington D.C., I graduated in the middle of the pandemic, feeling disillusioned, burned out, and stressed.

Through a series of serendipitous moments, I stumbled upon the world of natural dye during quarantine, which sparked my passion for herbalism. I soon enrolled at Artemisia Academy and dove deep into this new world of healing. Now, I’m passionate about weaving together herbalism, self-care, and artistry to help foster a deeper connection to our true selves—and by doing so, embracing a life of reciprocity with the Earth.

With the Blue Hour ApoTEAcary, I’m on a mission to help Angelenos reconnect with nature in fresh, meaningful ways—even in our fast-paced urban environment.

Through outdoor creative self-care events, I hope to inspire creativity, balance, and a deeper connection to the world around us.
